This course is specially designed for construction companies that have projects with contract sum of S$10 million or more. Project Managers, Construction Managers and Senior Managers who handle construction projects will find this course particularly beneficial.
Effective 1 June 2001, the Factories (Safety Training Courses) Order requires:.
"any person who is appointed as a Project Manager to be in charge all construction activities in building and engineering construction worksites of a contract sum of $10 million or more" to attend and pass the "Construction Safety Course for Project Managers" before undertaking such project.
SCAL has been approved by the Commissioner of Factories, Ministry of Manpower to conduct this course to cater to the high demand from the industry. At the end of the course, participants will not only help the companies meet the MOM requirement, but will also be familiarised with safety and health legislation, safety and health hazards in the construction industry, how to prevent construction accidents, as well as the implementation and audit of safety management system.
This course is specially designed for Chairman of Workplace Safety & Health Committee, Project Managers, and Project Engineers, Superintendent or equivalents who are in-charge and handle construction projects.
a) Applicant must possess knowledge of construction industry activities; AND
b) GCE “O” Level Grade 6 and above in English & Mathematics; OR
c) Employability Skills WSQ (ES WSQ) - Workplace Literacy & Workplace Numeracy Skill (WPLN) Level 6
