LIFTING SUPERVISORS SAFETY COURSE (ENGLISH & MANDARIN)
 

Legal Requirements

 
The WSH (Operation of Cranes) Regulations states that:
 
“An occupier shall appoint a lifting supervisor before any lifting operation involving the use of any crane, mobile crane or tower crane is carried out."
 
“No person shall be appointed as a lifting supervisor for any lifting operation involving the use of a mobile crane or tower crane unless he has successfully completed a training course approved by the Commissioner; …”
 

For Whom

 
This course is specially designed for personnel who wish to be trained and appointed as a Lifting Supervisor for lifting operation using any crane (ie tower, mobile and gantry cranes including lorry loader with articulate arm)

Entry Requirement

 
1) Recommended for the trainee to achieve WSQ ESS Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4  
 
AND
         
2) Passed "Signalmen" and "Rigger" Courses.

Skills Development Fund (SDF) {Fee Type: Full Fee}

Company sponsored trainees who are Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident are eligible for SDF funding. To be eligible for the funding, companies are required to enroll their trainees through the SkillsConnect system. For assistance, please call WDA at 6883 5885 or log-on to www.skillsconnect.gov.sg for more information. All applications are subject to WDA's requirements and consideration.

All SDF funding applicant can only make payment via cheque or Giro to Training Provider.

Mandarin
Certification: Only participants with at least 80% attendance will be eligible to sit for the assessment. Certificate will be awarded to participants who successfully complete the course and pass the assessment. However, ID passes can also be issued at $10.00 each (OPTIONAL) after collection of results. ID Pass will be ready in 2 weeks time upon submission of ID pass application form.
Replacement/Postponement: A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before the course commencement. A charge of S$50 (replacement) or S$100 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
