Registration and Payment
1. Registration at our office or by post
Walk-in application can be done at our office by submitting the completed course application form together with payment by Cash, NETS or Cheque only.
Application by post is to be accompanied with Cheque made payable to SCAL Academy Pte Ltd and forward to SCAL Academy, No. 5 Jurong West Avenue 5, Singapore 649485.
2. Registration by fax
Course application form, please fax to Fax: 6793 4401 or 6795 2584.
* Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis, and will close when the class is full. Please note that SCAL reserves the right to restrict this course to participants with suitable and relevant qualification and experience.
* Please issue different cheques for different courses or batches. (Separate cheques for Signalmen and Riggers course). Foreign cheques are not acceptable. Receipt / invoice for cheque payment will be issued only upon request.
* Discount of up to 30% of course fee will be applicable for those who re-take the whole course after unsuccessful completion of any course at our centre.
Cancellation
A notice of cancellation must be given at least 3 working days before commencement of the course and 50% of course fee will be refunded. If notice is given less than 3 working days before the first day of the course, there will be no refund. Failure to turn up without notice will also mean that your organization will be billed with full course fees per seat.
Replacement / Postponement
A notice of replacement / postponement together with the full particulars of the new participant (for replacement) must be given to us AT LEAST 3 working days before course commencement. A charge of S$10 (replacement) or S$30 (postponement) will be imposed on such changes.
Cancellation / Changes to Course Dates
SCAL reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. All dates shown are subject to final confirmation.
Notes for Explosive Powered Tools (EPT) Operators Course
* No photo is required as we will take the photo during the course for the purpose of making the EPT operator pass on successful completion of course. Subsequently, duplicate pass would be charged at $50.00 per copy.
* All participants must pass a colour blindness test before they can be admitted to the course. The colour blindness test will be conducted prior to the start of the course. Those who fail this test will be rejected immediately with a refund of the course fees, less an administrative charge of $20.00.
Certificate
A certificate is issued to those who successfully completed the course (except for EPT, a pass is issued). However, ID pass can also be issued at $10.00 each (OPTIONAL) after collection of results. ID Pass will be ready in 2 weeks time upon submission of ID Pass request form. Please provide a recent passport size photo.
All certificates or passes must be collected within 6 months from the date of examination. Thereafter, they will be discarded.
WDA Funding
Participants who are Singaporean or Singapore PR and sponsored by company are now eligible for WDA Funding. To be eligible for WDA funding, companies are required to enroll their trainees through the SkillsConnect.
